Michelle and I went for a lunchtime talk to a company last Thursday. There were about 20 people who turned up for the talk, and it was interesting to note that all of them made a special trip to go back to their office for the talk as they do not work there.
When Michelle did the presentation, there were collective gasps when people knew, for instance, that there are 13,000 cats killed each year in Singapore. Towards the end, one person also asked if we should just leave the cats alone. The thing is this, as Michelle explained – it would be a time-bomb if you leave the cats unsterilised as they are, and one day, the population grows out of control, followed by culling when the complaints come. It is thus crucial that more people come onboard and start TNRM projects all around Singapore.
