Does anyone know where we can get a nice giant cat toy that we can modify into a mascot? Preferably cheap, and preferably not Hello Kitty.

Some of you may know Paul Koh, the artist who did the designs for some of our old t-shirts. He’s back with a new exhibit of lovely cat paintings. Have a look!

CWS was invited to the Arts House today to be part of the Cats of the World II exhibition. We were there to sell some of our merchandises and share word about TNRM. Prior to entering the Arts House, the CWS comm were greeted by a sterilised kitty mascot at the front entrance of the Arts House. Salina our comm’s Honourary Secretary gave the kitty some food. Back to the exhibition, there were numerous photos of local cats too - especially those from the East Coast Park. Li Tin, Salina and Kailing did an awesome job at the sales booth, we sold quite a number of our merchandise. The exhibition continues till 31st May and the details are here.

Singapore is holding its first Animal Welfare Symposium to be held on Sat 24th May 2008, from 830am to 6pm. Our President, Michelle will be one of the panellists. Places at this event are said to be limited and so if you are keen to participate in this free event, please sign up soon by visiting (http://www.animalwelfare.sg/registration.html) for the details on how to go about.
It’s organised by various university student groups, and it’s the first of its kind. If you’ve an interest in these things, do go and have a look. If you can’t go, drop a note and tell the students that you like what they’re doing. I’m sure they’d appreciate it.
