CWS is recruiting for sub-committee members to assist in the following sub-committees we have. If you think you have what it takes to help or just want to lend a paw, please send us an email to info @ catwelfare.org .

Whatever your specialty, we’ve got an opening for you.

Step One:

Pick two sub-comms that you’re interested in from the list below.

1. Adoptions, Administration & Operations
a. Help out with administrative and operations related tasks

2. Mediation & Public Relations
a. Assist in mediation related tasks

3. Media & Merchandise
a. Design and sale of merchandise
b. Design of website
c. Doing up Newsletter
d. Making trailer/video of community cats caregiving

4. TNRM (Trap Neuter Release)
a. Assist in collaborating with caregivers group around Singapore (especially your immediate area) with regard to sterilization of community cats

5. Public Education, Events & Outreach
a. Assist in public speaking in schools and other public places
b. Assist in events organisation
c. Assist in collaborations with other animal groups

Step Two:

Drop an email! Tell us everything we need to know, so that we don’t have to chase you for details.

Let us know:
1. Name, Email Contact, HP contact, area of residence
2. Occupation
3. Available time
4. Areas of interest
5. Languages
6. Anything else that we really should know about you
7. That great idea you have.

Step Three:

Send it to info @ catwelfare.org. The relevant comm member will get back to you within a week. Hey, we do need time to put the list together.

Got that? Great! Now start figuring out how you’d like to lend a paw to the community cats of Singapore! First person to write in gets first chance at.. err.. being the first!

How many emails can we get in a day?

Sarah:
The answer - lots. Lots and lots. I was working over the weekend, and was busy with personal family stuff as well. So I took a little break, and didn’t check email. It’s 9:00pm, and I’ve just finished with work, so I open the info(at) catwelfare.org mail. And then I make tiny whimpering sounds at the sheer number of emails to plow through.

It isn’t easy to answer the emails. Some of them require me to send it on to other comm members to deal with, which means I have to wait for an answer. Some take even longer, because we have to find out from the caregivers what’s going on.

It becomes even harder when you realise that all of the comm members are at work during the day, and not all can check their emails during work. Not all can answer their handphones either.

As usual, we don’t know how Dawn managed it.

Ah well, the best way to get it done is to get started. Please be patient if you’re expecting something from us.
