Just got word today from an ex-committee member who said that her mum heard the Class 95FM’s Morning show. DJs, Glenn Ong and Flying Dutchman were talking about stray cats again. This time, they compared feeding of stray cats to the feeding of monkeys. They added that cat feeders should be fined heavily as their monkey feeders counterparts. The DJs also said they have seen people feeding many cats and stray cats mess up the rubbish bin and leave their poo around. They were inviting listeners to send in sms or call in till 10am today (7 May). CWS is drafting a letter to the local press to address this issue.
Note from website editors: This is not the first time Class 95 has expressed themselves in this fashion. There was the 2003 incident, where the same DJs suggested that cats should be drowned en masse, or sent to Peru to be eaten. In 2007, the same DJs spread inaccurate information about community cats, undermining the goals of animal welfare activitists.

So its perfectly fine to leave food lying in the streets for “ghosts” and other such nonsense, but to leave food for living things is wrong? what a disgrace. Every year i see food lying everywhere that ghosts have neglected to eat (or maybe they just dont wanna eat oranges and steamed buns). yet whatever food is left for cats is eaten straight away. if you are worried about mess, i suggest you turn your attention to the people that drop litter from their windows because they are too lazy to walk 3 metres to a dustbin. i’m pretty sure the tissue paper, sanitary pads, cotton buds etc that litter my void deck werent left behind by cats. given the choice between saving a cats life or anyone from mediacorps, i’d take the cat everytime. As for these 2 DJ’s (and i hate to use the word DJ because DJ’s dont actually exist in singapore..only whores hawking products and playing a few crappy records inbetween the next bit of prostitution..get some cocking self respect man) i think they should both be spayed as soon as humanly possible for the sake of our gene pool.

I think fine should be impose for those who feed them. As for ppl who is kind hearted they should actually bring those cats to their home and feed and not to let them breed.From what I know cats will go and find their food, if u feed them they will become lazy and will always wait at the place where u feed them. Or worst case more cats come in ,take a example the carpark under my block full of cats from 10 to 20 cats jus because of this inconsiderate ppl who feed them. cats shit and urine are everywhere as wat i say u can feed and had a kind heart but bring it back home and keep..

Yes, cats will go & look for food… but where? Rubbish bins? If the strays are spayed & they are fed regularly then they won’t mess up the rubbish that thrown by us… they won’t get into fight for territories due to not enough rubbish food!!! Do you know that strays life span are shorter cos they have been eating those poisonous rubbish food that are unhealthy & rotten. As for some rubbish that are thrown & mess up everywhere at the void deck are actually done by inconsiderate human being… so these ppl didn’t need to be fined!!! I’m so confused by human being… they just can’t differeniate with right & wrong…
Yes sometimes, certain cat feeder didn’t feed properly cos they didn’t really understand what the cats should eat so they will dump all left over foods on the ground everywhere & litter the places but I still believe there are many cat lovers who feed the strays properly… for me I feed my strays with the correct amount of cat biscuits & they finished on the spot within seconds… & the area is so clean & neat & the strays are not hungry…
Just think again, if you have children, do u feel hurt that they didn’t have food or those third world countries ppl, do u feel sad that they are going hungry… think again those strays are also another living beings… why can’t we spare some food for them? I’m so hurt that I keep on hearing those consider themselves educated pple saying that all strays should put to sleep… I think human being should be the one that put to sleep cos we are the main destroyer to this one & only planet…

Hi people, you know why these always ACT CUTE DJs hate cats and people who feed cats, because they are RAT. They jealous the cats whom got people feed, while nobody care for these two rats, no matter how hard they try.
